HI here is a drawing of a way to install gear doors on a 1/4 scale model. Its simple and it works fine. Make sure the the hinge line will clear your retract when it is deployed.

I have a very simple way in doing it and it works great.
Locate the doors already cut out and tape them on place using maskng tape from the outside.
Once all is secure use Automotive or Marine GOOP to make the hinges.
It works great and lasts forever.

Landi,
Can you explain some more how you hinge your gear doors with goop. I take it you do have to have a certain gap width which you fill with the goop.

Hi Harm
You dont need to fill any gap with goop just put a layer of goop on the inside just as if you would be applying a tape and thats it. the goop is flexible and it will strech a little. If you must leave 0.1mm gap (the gap the tool leaves in the cut out) that should be more than enough.
