I thought about installing a 1 wheel non-steerable landing gear on my Stryker, and use wire hangers to keep it from tipping over. This would theoretically decrease the drag of a tripod landing gear, and should work on the Stryker which has an obvious CG.
This is just an idea I had, and am not even commited to installing a landing gear (As I've gotten better at hand launching). I just wanted to get some feedback from people who have had experience modifying foam planes in this manner. Some helpful information would be the effects on the trimming of the plane, the effects on airdrag, & the overall feasibility of such a setup on such a fast plane with weaker places to mount stuff.
