For those of you who have flying stabs like the Pike Perfect/Superior or the Mibo models what is your total throw up and down? I'm trying to set up my elevator and need to know if the allowed throw (limited by the slot) is way more than what is needed.
Thanks

The F3x.com website has the setup specs for all the planes they sell. You can look at the grid and get a good idea of the typical throws that are being used.
It does not take a lot of throw for a full stab elevator. Most often, the slot is made too big.
Hope this helps.

My Superior is set for 5mm up/7mm down, measured at the actuator rod (stabs off). A lot less than what the slot would otherwise allow.

Do you have checked this:

Itīs for the pike superior, ans works well. But you are right - the slots are way too large.

In general, a few mm as posted and shown on these sites. However, for my RES AVA, it takes a LOT of up to maintain level attitude with 90 degree spoiler - something like an inch, or 4 or 5 times max 'up elevator' during normal flight..

Do not know about anyone else, but I will have a reasonable amount of "up" elevator in a FS, but will have all the down that can be mechanically, and electronically gotten. On some FS's like my Insanities, I have about 1" of down elevator throw. Two reasons; one, on launch I want to be able to get that last bit of zoom and bunt with practically no airspeed and second, depending on your ship, F-E compensation can take a bunch of throw away and there is nothing worse than needing down throw in the zone and not having it there. I do use a good bit of expo with my set up, but I feel totally in control and like I said, I know I want to have it there when needed.
