Just wondered if somebody could help with a diagram of how to make a straight through(no pic) cable to connect my JR Tx to the serial port on my pc. Any info appreciated...

cheers Tone.

Depends on what software you intend to use it with, and generally due to the difference between the TX signals and what the com port expects you'll probably need a few transistors rather than a stright connection. personally I would look at using a PIC micro in either a serial or USB interface, much safer and more software compatability

D'you know Malc that's almost word-for-word what I told him on the other forum where he posted this identical question.

Don't you just hate people who post in multiple forums and waste your time like that ;) ?

Sorry to post in two forums, was unsure which one to put it in...
Intending to use with FMS via PPJOY. Had it working spot on with a venom Night Ranger II Tx.Have it hooked through mic/line in at the moment, but seems to be a little unstable at times, hence the reason for trying serial port.
