I picked up a power supply from a computer store. He told me it was "hot swapable", it says API on it. but doesn't have all the red and yellow wires like the way I read on the AT supplies. Anybody got ideas?

Hmm you may have got yourself a power supply intended for server use... these are usually "bulletproof", but since they are hot-swappable, they will use a long connector plug along one end of the supply instead of the standard wires. Your best bet is to try looking for any model numbers on the unit and search out the manufacturer's page. Connecting wires to it will still be a challenge though, since the mains and output wires go on the same plug. :)
