 You are right, I have a couple at $30per from Walmart in London Ontario. I would suggest you ask to speak to someone at walmart in your area that does the ordering and stocking of the store about getting some in. They are very worth $30, but I would not pay $80

I'm surprised Walmart in BC does not carry them. I was at our local Walmart a couple of weeks back and they must have had at least 50 of them on the shelves.

My brother bought a Picco-Z clone called "speedy airplane" or something for $50 at London Drugs in early January '07. He says it is identical to the Picco-Z except the name is different on the packaging.

I'm going to pick one up this week. If I have problems I'll report back.

Here's a link to the "Micro Remote Helicopter (http://www.londondrugs.com/Cultures/en-US/Product+Detail/Electronics.htm?CatalogNavigationBreadCrumbs=Elect ronics;Electronics;Electronic%20Toys;Electronic%20 Toys%20Sub%20Category;Micro%20Remote%20Helicopter&CS_Catalog=Electronics&CS_RootCategory=Electronics&CS_Category=Electronic%20Toys%20Sub%20Category&CS_ProductID=2181238&ProductTab=1) " at LD. No picture, sadly. Trust me, it's the Picco-Z.

I went back to our local walmart a few days ago and they had zero stock. I asked one of the clerks when they'd be back in stock, they told me there were not getting anymore as they were a special xmas order.

here are a qoate from other forum...

"The PicoZ rights for North America were purchased by my company and have just shipped in Canada to Walmart so they should be on shelf within a few weeks. They are now called the Air Hogs Havoc.

Apparently Target in the US had this crazy thing where it wasn't registering in their system and so they were selling them for between $2 and $10 but that problem has been fixed. The retail price in the US is $29.99 so I'm guessing it'd be $34.99 here"

My brother bought a Picco-Z clone called "speedy airplane" or something for $50 at London Drugs in early January '07. He says it is identical to the Picco-Z except the name is different on the packaging.
I unknowingly purchased the PicooZ clone named "Fly Champion"/"Speedy Airplane" manufactured in China by "Cyclone" with a stock number of 777-023 (Blue, IR Band #3 Version) from www.factorydirectdeals.com for $48.05USD for 2 including shipping from Florida. That made each heli alone $19.99 without shipping. After starting the mods I'm finding the basic differences between the clone and the real Picoo. There are 30 clones listed on the Silverlit website and this one was second on the list.
1) The main rotor shaft bearings on this clone are nylon inserts not brass bearings.
2) The foam used to mold the body is a coarser styrofoam.
3) The main circuit board is permanently staked onto the frame not clipped.
4) No pads are apparent for changing the receiver channel.
5) The casting around the main rotor mounting tube has solid webs where the PicooZ has open webs on both front and rear sides. Structurally this is better on the clone and the weight gain is negligible.
6) The main rotor mount tube walls could be a little thinner on the clone. This may be an issue when trying to upgrade to 3mmOD ball bearings. The OD of the clone tube is 0.143" or 3.63mm. I'll attempt it anyway even though the resulting wall thickness will be .315mm.
Most of these differences are of no consequence unless you are doing mods. Anyone who notices other differences please respond since all I have for reference are pics of dissected Picoo's. These two clones fly well with the customary adjustments and blade balancing.

I was just at Walmart today and they had a shelf full of the Air Hogs branded heli's. The box is different than the Picooz's but similar size. He helli inside looks exactly the same. The price as $29.95, I was tempted to buy another one.....but I resisted.

I bought the Air Hogs Havoc Heli at the Lougheed Walmart for the < $30 price. They had lots of stock. This is what you want.

Lots of fun.

Interestingly, my brother's Speedy Airplane Picco clone is identical but slightly noisier. The packaging is much funnier, being a bizarre translation from Chinese I guess.
