Hi guys, i am new to building UAV's and would like a little advice is possible.
I am considering two designs. The first is a swept wing design of aroun 50 cm wing span using a cambered wing shape, and mounting a propellor on the rear. The second is a smaller design using a zimmerman style wing and a propellor mounted on the front.
I am wanting to achieve slow flight, and possibly indoor flight therefore any advice on which one is the better suited to these conditions would be appreciated.

Cheers Lockey

I'm fairly new here too, but I had an idea you might want to consider.

I don't know much about the wing styles you mentioned, but for the slow/indoor flight you described it seems like a lighter than air vehichle might have some advantages.

The first is safety, a non-rigid vehicle would be better indoors. An airship would also be able to fly slowly or maybe even be programmed to stay in place.

Just a thought!

I guess I'm still fairly new at this. Haven't actually built anything yet. Anyway, zimmerman wing is a new idea to me. I did some poking around and eventually found this http://www.unrealaircraft.com/wings/cv_flapjack.php Is that what you're referring to?
