I need help to select the correct ESC's for a heavy scale tractor. (sorry it's not a boat !!) This tractor is powered by 12 VDC lead acid battery. The drive motor is a 12 volt (4.75 amp) Bison reduction gear motor. I also need ESC's for 12 volt linear actuator steering (1.4 amp) Can anybody please help....ssatssat

Check out the Vantec (http://www.vantec.com/products.htm) line of ESC's. Vantec makes several differen ESC's, they are used in boats, tanks, trucks, and robots; some of their ESC's are used in bomb sqaud robots. The RDFR line is good if you have a Catepillar tractor or a tank. The RET series is good for boat and wheel drive units.

Also research Electronize speed controllers. I have two in my tugboat and they have a special setting that allows finer control at low speeds, something that might be useful on a tractor.

MPI Tornado 50 with 20A reverse, 6-10 cells, that may work, also has BEC for rx as well
