Guys,

Sadly my business partners want me to look into liquidating the GPS-58 UAV prototype we have been flying. I'm posting here to get a feel for the interest if any. The construction is detailed here at "Senior Telemaster + PicoPilot" thread.

Basically the GPS-58 features:

Senior Telemaster Airframe
PicoPilot Alt/Nav2 Auto Pilot
Garmin GPS18lvc GPS Receiver
Redundant and Isolated 5v and 6v regulated PS
HS645MG Servos
2 1600mAh NiMH Receiver Batteries
JR 10 Channel Receiver
TP4200 6s2p ProLite Main Battery
TP2100 3s1p ProLite Video Transmitter Battery
1 Watt Black Widow 2.4GHz Video/Audio Transmitter
Black Widow 2.4GHz Video/Audio Receiver w/ 14db antennae
KT&C DSP650 High Rez (648x480) color video camera
Gyro Stabilized Tilt and Pan Camera Gimbal
Tripod
Sony VAIO 30Gb Laptop w/WinXP
Mapping, programming and moving map software:
PicoPilot Editor, Mapsource, AGWTracker, Packet Engine Pro, Photoshop
TinyTrack 3 with GPS Receiver
Hard and Soft Cases and Manuals

Tried and true with over fifty missions. Will last 20 minutes or more and will cover miles of territory on preprogrammed routes allowing the pilot to focus on camera work.

We're looking at liquidating it for $4,000. Considering that it beats the piss out of what the sheriff’s department paid $23,000 for, I believe the right buyer is going to be very happy with this plane. I can no longer justify the cost and usefulness to my partners (I'm in the special effects business).

Post opinions and comments here or call me at 310-748-5893 with an offer.

Thanks.

Jeff

I have photos of the new camera installation which adds 2" to ground clearance and about 40 more degrees of pan and a camera retract position for takeoff and landing. I'll post if there is any serious interest.

I'm not giving up on the hobby. I just have to get this off company books. I'll buy it if I don't get any takers.

Bjorn,

I just have to get it off the company books...

I'll probably be the one to buy it as I can see the value... ;-)

Nick and I are taking it to White Point tomorrow morning to test some of the new modifications.
