What sources are you using for thermophile sensors for you UAVs. Have you bought the FMA CO-PILOT, have you built the Paparazzi sensor or are there other options?

I'm not designing with thermopile sensors (yet!), but I have come across a few sites selling them.
Melexis is a manufacturer and now you can purchase directly from them:
http://www.melexis.com/ProdMain.aspx?nID=19
Here's a robotics store that sells the Melexis parts:
http://scalerobotics.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=28&osCsid=302d816231283b33b773cf5440523933
There are others, but I can't find the bookmarks. But if you do a google for "thermopile" and "robotics" you should be able to come up with some more options.
Good luck!

I bought some thermopiles from www.farnell.com
I tried to make something like the FMA co-pilot but it was too hard.
I now have the co-pilot and it's great!

Thank you,
I thing with the price of the FMA Co-pilot it is a great way to get a stable platform to work with when developing auto pilot modules.
I have a question regarding the FMS Co-pilot:
When the Co-pilot is enabled and you move the aileron stick on the transmitter 50% left and keep it there.
Will the plane start to roll or will it start a turn with a bank angle correponding to 50% stick?

It depends on how much gain you have set on the copilot. At high gain settings you can hold the stick at 50 % and it will maintain a shallow bank :D

anybody know where I can get a gimbal so that I can stabilize a small camera on an aircraft?
