I had Randy at BBY Racing build me this 6-8 cell rigger last year. I dropped in a 12t Modified on 6 cell match 2000s, Super Rooster ESC. Im running direct drive. I melted the endbell off the motor and ended up smoking a pack. I ended up running a Kyosho aqua speed 17t double mod. I quit melting things but speed was so so. I gave up and have now decided to give it another try. Im still going to try running 6 cell 200s, the Kyosho 17t double and have added a 3-1 gear reduction. Am I heading in the right direction? If any of you have some experience with a simular rigger let me know. I undertand the key would be going to a higher cell count and brushless but Im going to try to make what I have work for now.
