Up for sale is a Doug Badgley 1/48 Type XXI or Wilhelm Bauer. It is about 63" long. This kit is curently being sold by Warfish Models ( http://www.warfish.com/xxi/ )
I got this Wilhelm Bauer kit in a trade from a fellow club member and also an RcGroup member. Since I dont like the Wilhelm Bauer I purchased the XXI conning tower and turrets for it. Basically the buyer can choose which he wants to build. Also included is a stainless steel photoetch deck kit made by Jeff L (also pctured below).
The only thing I have done to the kit so far is I made the hole where the prop shaft enters the hull. Just ahead of the stern planes mount the shaft comes so close to the surface that in one spot I actaully sanded a little through to the surface. I included a picture of the area below as well . After the planes are attached it should be very simple to cover the little hole up.
Im asking $500 for the kit and the Photoetch set. If you need more pictures of anything or any questions let me know. My zip code is 10580 so yo can calculate the shipping for yourself. I can ship any way you like. If you live anywhere near Rye, NY you can also pick it up, or I can meet you halfway. Paypal welcome.
