Hi
I’m after making a big brushless controller to simultaneously run FOUR 100W motors. I haven't decided on the exact motors yet so possibly 2, 3, 4 or 6cell. Motors will probably be 9 or 12pole but must be 20krpm. A BEC of at least 2A and all the other features like soft start etc.

Also 1 Rx channel to control the power to all 4 motors, another Rx channel will mix the left and right motors so when left the motors are 100% left, 75% right, when right 75% left, 100% right.

An extra (if possible) would be traction control; I would have some sort of speed sensor so the motors would never go more than like 5% faster than the actual speed.
This will be used in a RC car if that’s any help.

This can all be done with multiple boards but I would like it all in one.

Any help much appreciated
Thanx Rufe0

I can't give you anything in the way of schematics, but I can tell you that there is a lot that goes into designing RC car brushless controllers. Castle Creations spent years perfecting the Mamba Max, and they are still perfecting the Mamba Monster Max.

As far as running multiple brushless motors, each motor will need an independent control board. Due to the nature of sensorless setups, more than one motor on a single controler can confuse the controller due to the fact that things like back EMF are averaged between the motors (instead of the single proper signal).
