Distortion of airfoil, how much of an effect?

I am wondering how much of an effect a .007 x 1/4 inch carbon strip glued to the top and bottom of a wing will affect the characteristics of the airfoil. More details in this thread; http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=577743

The wingspan is 36". The plane is 12-15 years old so I don't remember what the airfoil is.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking since I'm sure it's not a supercritical airfoil, but I wasn't really sure.
