Hi all.Really need some help and advice as I am new to the hobby and eager to learn.I recently purchase an Anderson Sintra twin motor kit,Basically a 30 inch speed boat with twin 550 motors. The kit uses a mechanical speed controller and twin 7.2v battery packs. With this set up I fear the boat will have no reverse and notchy movement.I therefore wish to use an electronic speed controller.
I wish to use only one 7.2v battery yet keep the twin motors.
I have spent hours researching different models but come across the same stumbling blocks.IE I do not know the correct amp rating to use, most adverts refer to how many turns are on the motor??? to which i have not got a clue.
I know i will get short run times with twin motors and one battery but thats ok for the moment.
I need to get a speed controller that is capable in terms of amps or turns and it must have forewards and reverse. Can anyone advise on this matter,if so i would be very greatfull.
Thankyou APNOTTS.
