Doesn't CP2 transmitter has CCPM, which can't be disabled? In this case, the simulator will get mixed channel signals, which would completely screw the controls...

The only CCPM un-mixing interfaces on the market are those from MileHighWings.com, but I'm not sure if the'll work with E-Sky CP2 (they do work with E-flte Blade CP, CP Pro, and with E-Sky CP helies)...

You should be able to do it. Check out this link:

http://www.geocities.com/shaul_ei/SmartPropoPlus.html

It ties in with getting TX controls to work with PC sims. You will notice that on the web site, the NEWS says "SmartPropoPlus now supports E-Sky CCPM Transmitters"

Just FYI though, that you need to "build" a new cable to get this to work.

I don't have my CP2 yet, but I plan to use this component to get mine working.

Just an FYI that the SmartPropoPlus app is being developed by "Shaul-ei" from these forums. His profile is: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=87913

Good luck, and share your results.

How are you learning? Bunny-hop style, or RADDs, or ????

I am going to use RADDs method and a simulator.

It may not be as exciting as trying to fly right away, but it should teach me discipline, which with heli's is very important.
