Hey, just wondering what the group here drinks, , collectively, ,, if
they drink at all. . .

Have a weird drink myself, , ,shot galss, rimmed with instant lemonade
mix, filled with Cuervo gold. . .

Anyways, what's yer favorite poison?

I'm not much of a beer drinker but when I have to I drink it has to be Crown
Lager (Crownies), Victorian Bitter (VB) or XXXX (XXXX). Never been a big
fan of American beers but I'm a huge fan of European beers, everything
except that black stuff.

Spirits are my preferred poison, Jack Daniels, Chivas Regal 18YO, Bundaberg
Rum (preferably OP 57.7%) and White Sambuca.

I try to keep a little of each of the last two in with my camping gear
because you never know when you might need a fire starter, need to clean a
open wound, run out of fuel or a good stiff drink. The Bundy and Sambuca
also mix well together.

Ah the drunken post - I've made a few of these - including one trying to
offer engine tuning advice IIRC. Personally , partial to a nice lager, some
Jack Daniels, most stuff really been a student (well, I was till about 2
weeks ago..)>

Oooooh,

White Sambuka, and lots of it - MUST be chilled though, or I will blow
chunks straight back into the glass.
I would then say Jack Daniels & Cola, chilled. Don't mind a baileys irish
cream now and again.

Being a Scot, this is weird, but I hate malt whiskies. YUK.

I'm a hard liquor man myself, although I am partial to India Pale Ale's and
Wheat Beers when drinking the light stuff................for hard liquor, my
menu is as follows:

1. Liquid Cocaine Shooters (1/2oz Jagermeister, 1/2oz Bacardi 151 proof,
1/2oz Rumplemint 110 proof)
2. Jager Bombs (2oz Jagermeister, 6oz Red Bull)
3. Cherry Bombs (2oz cherry vodka, 6oz Red Bull)
4. Long Island Iced Teas (1oz Vodka, 1oz Triple Sec, 1oz Tequila, 1oz Rum,
1oz Sweet and Sour, 2oz coke)

I'm actually in the process of getting bombed right now (drinking Amaretto
Di Saronno oddly enough). I'll fire up the a-list drinks after I eat
something!

Well, just normal drinking, I guess light beer. When I want to get a
better buzz, Grey Goose vodka and soda, or cranberry juice.

Unfortuantely, I can't drink Jack, had it barfed on me on the bus on
the way to school in the 7th or 8th grade (must have been in '81 or
'82). Had to sit in some little room for about 3 hours while they
found a way to get me home to chage my clothes. Have not been able to
drink it since then (I must be some kind of Pavlov's drunken dog).
Someone told me that Evan Williams tastes exactly the same as Jack, and
I can drink it, , i just cant do Jack. ..

Anyone know of a good Irish Whiskey? I recently watched the movie "The
Boondock Saints", and am temporarily enamored with the Irish heritage.
If you get a chance, take a look at it, it's the best independent movie
I've seen so far (IMO of course). I tried some Bushmills, but it made
me try (and successfully) spend a bunch of money through onlne
shopping. . .good booze though. . .

Anyways, I'll try and keep the drunken rants to an acceptable minimum.

I'll take a stout or glass of red wine in the evenings. On warm days,
an IPA or light ale or lager suits me fine. Not much in to hard stuff
these days. Finding it harder to recover the next day as I get older.
