This is a Hansen Racing 1/12 scale 'vintage' hydroplane driver. He is wearing royal blue fabric coveralls with a brass zipper, and brown leather racing gloves. His Bell helmet is painted deep red with a black sun visor, and chrome snap buttons. His vintage goggles are black rubber, with a brown leather nose and cheek piece, and the lenses are green. The nose buckle and temple buckles are chrome, and the goggle strap is black rubber. He is wearing a cloth Safety Orange life vest with white waist straps, and brass buckles. He is sporting a Graham Hill mustache and a suitably hairy chest because he has the stones to drive a Merlin powered unlimited hydroplane. The underside is left unpainted for a good gluing surface in your boat.
Each part must be hand trimmed using an Xacto knife and jewelers files. Then the figure is glued together, and painted. Using a series of very small brushes in sizes 0, 00, 000, and 00000 and a magnifying eyeglass headgear. It takes a few hours labor to complete one of these driver figures.
The driver figure costs $25, and I am charging an additional $25 for my labor, paint and tools. So I am selling this for $50 total plus $4.05 USPS Priority Mail for a grand total of $54.05 delivered in the USA. I am happy to ship to addresses outside the USA but additional postage costs must be payed for by the purchaser. Shipping in the USA is via USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Outside USA, shipping is via USPS Global Priority Mail.
