lst2 crash

[carlhako]

It rained last night and this morning which leaves the ground nice and
moist. I took my car to my fiances parents yard they about an an acre
block with a few trees and one particulat post in the middle :/

I started leaning the engine a little to see if it would go any faster
and boy did it ever. After about 10min of driving i managed to wrap it
around that post lol.

i havent worked out exactly how many parts i broke but from what i can
see the lower suspension arm snapped in half, some peice of metal which
is not part of the main chasis and a few other plastic parts there
should be a cheap fix.

Dude! Good job! Yer' first real FUBAR! That won't be the last run in you
have with that pole I reckon. The two major wrecks I've had with my Savage
were both at the hands of a huge pine tree at the side of my yard; you'd
think I'd of learned my lesson the first time! Looks like you nailed:

Upper a-arm
Lower a-arm
bulkhead
bulkhead brace (metal)
a-arm hinge pins
dogbone/cvd (looks bent)

See? Now a crawler would have ended up climbing the pole with no damage

whats a rock crawler? savage xx model or what
it would survive hitting a post flat out, around 50-60kmph
i can put the car into low range which brings that top speed right down
turning it into a rock crawler

A rock crawler wouldn't break because it wouldn't go near 60 mph. 8)
Crawlers are geared low, have soft suspensions, and have insane wheel
travel in order to make them more nimble over . . . . rocks.

Watch out, you might have one of those "magnetic posts". I have one
out front, , ,seems to only attract what I am driving. Anyone else
driving around there has no problems, , ,I have to make a point of
driving around it, else it's magical powers seem to draw the
truck/buggy right to it.
