RC shop in narita area?

Hi guys, i'm form malaysia and will be going on a trip to tokyo in a few days.
i'll be staying mostly in narita. any rc shops selling JR products in the area?

Hi ayil911t,

There should be some but I do not know of any. I am not sure how much they have in stock. Why not take train to Akihabara, there are a few good radio control shops there. Some open till late at night. RC Champ opens till 9:00PM, biggest selection for example.

at least two RC shops in Narita. One is near Tomisato IC, shop owner is Shinba san. Lots of stuff and a real nice guy! There is one more shop in Narita, no electrics though. This shop is owned by Abe san and is near the Bon Belta shop in Narita.
Need more details?

Apa khabar 'bang! Yes there are a couple. I'm airline crew that stay in Narita (village) regularly.

As stated in the previous post, Shinba models is in "Tomisato-shi" town, basically the next village to Narita itself. About 2.5 miles by road but the shop, which is a small self-contained unit, that stands by itself down a sidelane of residential houses! Difficult to find even by local taxi as the driver kept calling on his handphone for directions. Cost me lmost 6000 yen return taxi fare from the Hilton..........expensive taxis in Japan! Anyway, the owners name is Yukio, nice chap speaks reasonable English. He sells the usual japanese kit, accessories, some engines and JR and Hirobo products, but I suggest it is mainly a fixed wing model shop.

The other shop is Abe models, next to the Bon Belta department store which is more convenient as it can be reached by a bus that runs by most of the hotels in Narita, fare is if I recall correctly 120 yen. The shop specializes in helis.

If anyone needs more info, do contact me also if there are any Japanese r/c modellers who would like to meet up and share R/C stories over a beer please do let me know...........
