I should probably post a build thread from a beginner builder perspective after I figure out this last problem. I have decided to ditch the 12oz stock tank for a 16oz Dubro. I am running a YS63 so the extra pressure strength and capacity is peace of mind for me.

I am hoping to get a few ideas on tank mount. I will be mounting all the radio gear aft of the center divider instead of forward. The tank will rest mostly in the area on and in front of the CG point. This means the tank must be secured in all directions. I have tested the cg in this config with the tank at 3/4 full and it is almost spot on. All I will need to adjust is the RX battery to fine tune the balance.

So that leaves a custom tank mount. Foam, support beams, or some strapping method. What would you do?

Silicone bath sealant (the stuff you put round the edge of the bath between the bath and the tiles) makes an excellent anti-shock mounting. Put some ply supports close to but not touching the tank then fill the gaps with silicone bath sealant and use your finger to build up fillets.

If you're going to mount it on a fuesalge floor then put a temporary support in the middle and build up four or more big blobs of the stuff and sit the tank on top while the sealant is still gooey.
If your fingers get gooey just run them under cold water until the silicone cures (it cures by absorbing atmospheric water) and peel it off.
