I live in Bloomington Illinois. I have a staduim truck I'd like to
race. Right now I'm flying solo on pavement near my apartment and at
near by parks. My street tires are likely to come in today. However,
I've worn down my off-road rear tires running them on pavement. If I
decide to run on a dirt track I'll have to replace the rear off-road
tires.
I would love to find someone in my area to race against at local parks.
Next year I hope to start racing at the tracks in central Illinois.
This year I'm just not ready. I use to run an off-road buggy. But I'm a
little rusty these days. By next year I might be able to compete. For
now, I just want someone to run with.
Thanks again and God Bless <><

Hey don't sell yourself short.
You can do all kinds of running on pavement and in dirt but if you
aren't using any track barriers all that runtime won't help you once you
get on a track.
If you have a goal to race with others at a club track just go to the
track. If you announce to others at the track and in the pits that you
are totally new lots of people will offer help and most likely go out of
their way to welcome you.
Running on a track is way different than bashing...and in my opinion way
more fun than just bashing.
I see you posted to rctech and found some places to run. Just go to the
one in Lincoln during their practice times, drop your vehicle down and
just go. The best advice I could give would be to go slow to medium
speed......
