It's usual these days to have all views from the top of the circuit board, the one the components are mounted on, if single sided component mounting. It seems pretty likely that this is the view you have in the design posted but there's not enough info in the diagrams to be certain. Knowing which is pin 1 on the IC would be a dead give-away.
Andy.

thank you andy, that all the info i have on this bord... it is single sided tought i'll try this way, from the top of the circuit...
if it's not working i'll do it the other way... won't be to long to remake it anyway..
thanks alot

How are you going to build the programmer is you don't have the part numbers of the transistors, or the values of the other components?

Looking at the component layout it looks like a version of the JDM programmer (4 diodes and two trannies give it away). But as you said a link to the website where it was found would help

hi everyone, i've found a pcb layout on the web to make a pic programmer.
If you include the URL for the website it would help us advise further, and its always useful for others looking at making something similar. Can you post the URL so we can all have a look ?

i decided to make this programer because of all the posibilities you have to program with it

Maybe you could post the link to the website so I could have a look too?

is it me or is anyone else having problems with the images not being displayed, and getting a 404 errors when trying to access the zip file The requested URL '/archives%5CPrgpic.zip' was not found on this server.
Scrub that.. seems to be the security settings with Firefox... IE seems to let everything come through, although it blocked a doggy popup !!

malc, i got this prob also since i have damn win xp.... you have to extract it before you open the image.... 'cause otherwise it doesn't fit with the open protocol... or something like... damn idiot bill gates!!!!

No its not XP.. Its down to the fact the site uses java script and the security settings of Firefox block the embedded images in the page. If you open it with IE you should find it works, although you may get a warning on blocked pop-ups depending on how up to date your system is. - Mind you you have a point about Microshit.. IE has so many holes its like a fishing net full of tears.. lets everything through !

Hi,
Looks to me that the PCB tracks (first image) is the PCB underside copper layout. Rather looks like the author forgot to invert it, as it looks the same as the other image. I think you should invert it to get the correct etch pattern for the bottom of the PCB.
The other image is a view from the top of the PCB showing you an 'X-ray' view of the ghost tracks underneath. This is just to show you the component placement.
The dark lines on the top are wire jumpers that you should solder.
CON1 SUB9F is a serial, 9-pin female socket - which connects to a PC serial port.
SUP1 is a 40 pin socket that you insert the PIC device to be programmed.
I rather think it's a JDM PIC programmer (but I haven't looked at the mentioned web site)
Cheers,

No its not XP.. Its down to the fact the site uses java script
I think you'll find that the author used inappropiate directory referencing for the images. He used a backslash as used in MS software rather than the forward slash as used on the Internet and Unix machines.
If you right-click and select view image on a missing graphic you'll see Firefox display something like "...images%5Cprgpic.gif". Edit the %5C into a single conventional forward slash separator and it will appear just fine.

hi everyone, i finaly had an answere from the owner of the site where i tooked the info.
as some of you found it, it's a view from the component side. looking thru the pcb for the gost traces. for using it i'll have to make the etch a miror image from the one the site.
thank you all.
should i edit the first post to have everything there, if somebody else is interresting in building this? or i just leave it this way?
