im trying to test out rocket designs by towing tem behind a ducted fan rc plane .anyone launched a rcket from a plane or made a winch to tow something?

Im pretty sure fun stuff like launching rockets from planes is against the AMA safety code, but glider towing is done all the time.

I would but I dont think the UK will allow me in the country with the miniature .50 cal machine guns I want to try for myself. :D

The AMA can't stop you from doing anything... but if you burn down a car, forest or person, they can refuse to pay out on the insurance claim.

If you're towing a rocket at an AMA field with a line, and that's it, do it. But you can also just spin it on a line to find the CG.
