Is there adheseive I can use that is just as good as epoxy. I realy hate mixing the stuff and its messy to work with.

it depends on what your are trying to put together.
In some cases you can substitute yellow carpenter's glue... In other places, other glues will work... and in some places there simply is no acceptable substitute.
For example..
When glueing in the firewall of a typical .40 size model... do not substitute anything for the epoxy. (Best to use 2 hour epoxy there... 30 min can be acceptable if done right... 5 min is a bad idea)
When inserting dihedal braces in a foam wing... (if its a wood or plywood brace...) you can use yellow glue or one of the polyurethane foaming glues. Just about any glue is stronger than the foam, but many kits still specify epoxy. NOTE... this is when the dihedral brace ONLY contacts foam.
It takes some experience to learn where you can, and where you can't make other substitutions...
