Is anyone flying the Arthobby range?

which would you suggest for a 2-2.5 meter thermal glider with a small amount of slope work every now and then?

Had a few minutes of stick time on a 2m Lotus a clubmate built. It's RE only. It flies amazingly well, which isn't
much surprise after you see how clean the fuse and wing are and feel the all up weight.

I have a Lotus as well. I really like it and will buy from them again. I think any of the 2M gliders would be great for your needs. Of the 2.5M gliders, I think the Sierra is designed as a sloper with the other two (serenity and thermic) primarily as thermal gliders. I expect they'd cross over well though.

The Sierra works well in light to medium wind, thermals well if setup properly, but the wings start flapping a bit if it gets too heavy. Overall, well worth the money, makes a great introductory six channel plane. Search for "Sierra" for more info. Chris

I have a Thermik, and it is a nice thermal plane - very light for a 2.5m ship. I have never tried it at a slope.

We have the Boar, Timmon and High Aspect 3M in our group and all fly very well and thermal good. Also good for light to med. lift on slope.

I have an Andromeda 2m electric on the way. I was looking for a thermalling glider, not a hotliner, and the Arthobby line seemed to fit the bill.

From my rcgroups readings it would seem that many folks order the classic tail over the stock V-tail. Also, that the Arthobby planes seem to give good bang for the buck.

I'll know for sure next week!

im currently on the 1.5m agenda, and it fly's great, you can fly extremely slow when coming in to land and when balasted it goes fast. im looking at the 2.5 thermic for the next model, it has the same airfoil as the agenda and i have to admit the this airfoil does well in different conditions.

Hi!
Here in Italy some guys are successfully using arthobby castor (www.tuttala.it) of 2,5 meters wingspan. It thermals well and is also good in weak slope conditions (thermodynamics). For only thermal duration, go for the High Aspect (3,1 meters wingspan).
good flight!
