I have a Hacker A30-16M and a X-30 esc in a EF extra 300 (32oz.) that I am having problems with. The motor after flying for a few mins. at half to three quarters looses power. I am running this system on TP prolites 3s 2100mah(15c/20c), Apex MKIII 3s 2100mah (15c/20c) and a Maxamps 3s 2100mah HV (15c/20c) battery packs. This is the same setup I have in my SA Edge 540 with the exception of the X-30 esc(using a CC 35). I have had no problems with my Edge 540 setup at all (90+ flights). But after only 4 flights on the Extra with the A 30-16M/ X-30 I am having problems.

The esc is HOT after flying only few minutes at the above throttle settings. There is plenty of airflow coming in the cowl cheeks as the esc is mounted on the side of the motor cage. I have 4 HS-65 for servos on my Extra same as my Edge 540. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Tim,

Thank you for your support of Hacker Brushless Motors. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing any problems.

It sounds that you may have a defective controller, please send it in to us so we may evalute it.
