Flight sim for newbe and controller

I am looking for a flight sim that I can learn on but it seems that the newer ones all are reccomending a faster systen than I have. So I was looking at this controller http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&item=160025541945&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
and going to try the clearview demo as I thought it was way more realistic than FMS. Has anyone else tried these controllers for flight sims? Will they work with other sims also?

This dummy usb box runs fine with ClearView, I have tried it and is quite good if you do not have radio Tx. For people with radio Tx the better option is to get a cable since radio Tx units provide somewhat more precise control.

I have been using fms for a few years now and want to get something better but can not justify spending 200 bucks on a sim, WIll this work much btter them FMS if i am trying to learn 3-d also i have a pic jr cord, will this cord work with a spektrum dx6 for clreawvielw flight sim

Just download the trial version (http://rcflightsim.com) and try the pic serial cord, it should work.

I downloaded the trial version but when I pull it up it will not open and tells me that WIndows has to shut down,,,,,any suggestions

What Windows do you have? ClearView works on Windows XP or 2000. Are you getting this problem when trying to run ClearViewSetup449.exe or after the installation, when you click on the CV icon and try to run ClearView for first time?

Looks like you have incomplete or corupted download. Download and try again.
