I am in the "information gathering phase" of my UAV design and building project. It's a hobby project and one of the decissions i have to make if i should go for a commercial AP or try to develop my own buying only a INU or maybe going for a thermophile to begin with.
The features i guess I will need to begin with:
Keeping the UAV level in roll and pitch
Heading hold with compass or GPS input
Altitude hold
V/S
Speed hold
Having this i should be able to develop a main CPU that navigates the UAV using these basic commands.
So , whats my questions?
- Can anyony point me to some information about how to implement the AP-algorithms?
- Are there any projects that are trying to implement an open source AP based on an INU? (exept Paparazzi and RCAP)?
- Any other advice is appriciated!
