Tx Freqrency Change

Please help; I have an Airtronics Championship series single stick FM transmitter on channel 46. I want to change the crystal to channel 43. I know that these transmitters are very sensitive to freq. change. I have some bacground in electronics, can someone out there instruct me how to tune the transmitter without some very expensive equipment? any help would be appreciated.

In practice just swap the crystal and don't tell the FCC.

In Europe we do it all the time with no retuning at all.

I guess going from one end of the band to the other they should be tweaked a bit..but no one does.
