Yes... indeed. Europe use what they call "kilometers per hour"... a new and revolutionary way top measure speed.... and make it sound like it's going a lot faster than us Americans! :D

When Ken G and myself started DSing, one of the first days out we were flying non carbon Blades, a friend brought up a radar gun and we were hauling but clicking off 150's and Ken even got a 172! We left the hill thinking "not bad for a bunch of new bees at the sport, we ROCK!" We got a phone call later that night, the gun was in Kilometers... hahahaaaa

The rest of us are going a lot faster than Americans!

Kilometres, the revolutionary logical way to measure distance. Today a special offer only for Americans, buy a starter kit for Just 3 easy monthly payment of $39.99. and you get.

1 Kilometre
100 metres
1000 centimetres
1000000 millimetres

WOW what a bargain

It's time Americans pulled it head out of the sand and caught up with the rest of us!

Didn’t NASA crash a billon dollar spacecraft in to Mars because it got confused between feet and meters? LOL...

It might get adopted faster if we Americans could only realize how nice it is for other things like equating a volume of water to mass:

A liter or water (at 4C) has a mass of 1 kg.

So say your windsurfer displaces 100 liters. It will then hold up 100 kg. Too simple.

BTW, JPL are not the only ones who screw up!

And FYI, we have been officially metric since 1866.
