I just broke a ball joint on my ball linkage set. Any interesting ways of
repairing this? Apart from ordering the Walkera part

CA it back on, then CAREFULLY drill a 2mm hole through the ball and
part and secure it with a short 2mm screw.

Good thinking. I suppose I have to add a counter weight onto the other
side due to the screw?

Not entirely necessary. The screw weighs very little and since that
weight is so close to the head, the imbalance is negligable. Putting
a screw through the opposing ball link wouldn't hurt if you feel so
inclined.
