After the initial rush of orders over the last few months on our new Thermic series short kits, I have overstocked and need your help to clear the shelves. Don and Fred's great article here and in Quiet Flyer confirmed what many of you have already discovered - that the early free-flight gliders are kick-in-the-ass fun and really lend themselves to lightweight floaty builds with the new sub micro gear.

For one week only until the end of the night Labor Day, I will offer free shipping to anyone ordering the Thermic 72, Thermic 50-X or Thermic 50 short kits and purchasing through PayPal.

I will not limit the sale to stock on hand either. After inventory is gone any orders placed and paid by the end of the week will be cut as quickly as possible and shipped.

As always, we appreciate your business!

Hi Tom!
You sure KNOW HOW to TEMPT a guy!!! LOL!
I purchased a Hall Cherokee from you last December, and haven't had a chance to staret on it, my job got in the way.
The Thermic 72 looks like a lot of fun!
Hey let me ask you something!!!
It would make a GREAT competition ship or even a GREAT nostalgia ship blown up to 1.5 to 2 times the size it is now!
I am wondering what all it would take to build it to a winch launced capable ship, at 1.5 to 2 times enlarged as it is now.

I'll give the "72" some serious thought, I only have about 12 kits on my shelves now! LOL!
The Hall Cherokee is next onto the building board, and for any of you guys out there wondering what Tom's kits are like?
I have one word! EXCELLENT!!!!!

Blue skies and great thermals!

Tom, do the plans come with the short kits? In reading about the 72 it mentions that the short kit builds over the original plans. To my mind that could be taken to mean you may or may not include the plans so I thought I'd check.

Just sitting here poised with my finger over the Paypal button for the answer.... :D

Thanks a lot Ed. Better get started. Dave Smith the designer just sent me this photo of him launching the prototype on the winch! Can't beat a great floater that will winch AND aerotow.

The thermic 100 would be the kit for you if you want 100 inches of Thermic. I don't cut a kit for it at present but will probably by next spring. Its a no brainer though to add carbon to the spars of the 72 so you can histart it. At less than 15 oz. all up weight it'll float out on the slightest lift.

Bruce, affirmative to that. Ready to start building as shipped!

Here is the link to the build thread that Don and Fred did for those who haven't seen it: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=523134

Tom, your order page comes back with an "under construction" notice. I'll paypal you directly but I need to know which of the two emails is the one you registered with them. And just to confirm we only need to paypal or otherwise pay the listed kit price and not the extra $8 for postage. Check?

Thanks

The ones in the thread look fantastic. I know Fred from our free flighting down there. Heck of a nice guy and a pretty darn slick builder. But he sold his soul to the devil when he chose plastic over silk and dope... :D

Oops, folks have to just send the correct amount through the paypal "Send Money" tab. List price only, no shipping.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yep, no sweat Tom. But on your contact page there's TWO emails. Which is the one registered to your PayPal account?

Perspiring minds need to know!

Yes, I'm sweating with worry that I'll miss the deadline! :D

When the time comes we should probably all group the construction stuff into one thread to avoid overcrowding the forum with Thermic Build threads.... :D

I was thinking along the same lines Bruce. A thread for each the 50-X, Thermic 72 and 50/50 R.C. for anyone to share their build up of these kits. I've directed a few customers to Don and Fred's great thread "Reviving Nostalgia" so they could see how the redesigned pod for the 72 goes together and I'm sure there are a lot of other new ideas and solutions that we could see if there were a dedicated thread for each model.

I forgot to mention that I have an overstock of the Thermic 50 kits with fresh CAD plans here to clear out. I'll offer free shipping on those too. They can easily be converted to the 50 R.C. with the power pod too as seen in this great example built by Steve Morris.

I am extending the free shipping offer once again to move out more of these thermics. Anyone interested please email me right away. I will run the special till they are gone.

Right now I have Jasco Thermic 72s, Thermic 50-Xs and Jetco Thermic 50s (will also build using the Thermic 50 R.C.) laser cut kits in stock and can ship within a day while supplies last.

I will also be adding the original Jasco Thermic 50, Thermic 70 and possibly the Sailwing and more to our offerings over the next few months now that I have good clean plans to CAD parts from.
