Hello everybody!
I'm afraid my english is terrible, but I try.
I have heard about PICOLARIO TALK system. It is very interesting
to get realtime audio signal data from your glider to your walkie talkie. It helps a lot, when you are looking for lift.
Have anybody heard or used this system or anything else for same kind of system like picolario? Picolario cost a lot and
I'm thinking if there is anything cheaper system.
I'm greatfull for any information. Thank you!

Take a look at
http://www.elv.de/
Click on 'Shop'
Then click on 'Freizeit - Modellsport' on L/H menu bar,
Click on 'Zubehor-Flugmodelle'
Scroll to bottom of page and click on 'next page' arrow.
Scroll down slightly and there it is!
Their 'VAT100' system sells for only EUR100 - very good value.
I have one on order and am awaiting delivery - promised for 'August'.

Thanks Gordon !
I did visit that page. It looks very good for me.
And much cheaper than picolario.
I did order that VAM200 with VAT100 too.
Can't wait to get it.
Thanks for your helping again.

Gordon,
It looks like this is a fixed frequency system or did I miss something (as usual)?
I believe there was a test in one of the German magazines but can't find it now.
Edited: Found the article; it is in the latest Modell Flieger (DMFV mag).

Gordon,
I've followed the link to ELV and guess what:
If i just scroll down to order a catalog ('Bestellen Sie jetzt kostenlos unseren großen Katalog! ') I see a person's name, adress etc. already filled in (it's an adress in Finland actually).
Guess this data is coming from Ezone?

Garry, how did the magazine rate it?
Thanks in advance,
Neil.

No, it ia probably a bug in the shopping cart software. I think Gordon's URL included the session ID and this must (now) relate to the guy in Finland.

Gordon, can you let us know when your vario arrives please? Also I would love to find out how well it works. Perhaps we can discuss it at on of the BEFA events.
TIA,
Neil.

Sorry if I caused a problem with that URL - didn't realise it was copying session ID's etc.
Yes, I think it is a fixed frequency system, but I'll know for sure when mine arrives. It was ordered at the beginning of June and still hasn't arrived! Before I ordered it, I spoke to someone who had seen one in use, who reported that it seemed to work quite well. I'll report here further when mine finally arrives.

Thanks for fixing this Andy. I have been away all day (in court - blah) and just returned to see this post reported.
I assume all is well now?

It sounds pretty good. No negative comments for what ever that is worth.
It is fixed frequency on just one freq. Also not adjustable in sensitivity. It does not talk. But then, the price is right.

Neil,
You're right about the person's info: has nothing to do with Ezone. As usual the moderators did their job well, thank you guys.
Well if I ever lose my creditcard at least I now where to look for its number... ;)
