Hi

I'm putting together an ARTF and didnt pick up until it was too late that the factory cut aileron hinge slots were mis-aligned My right aileron sits 1-2mm above the wing (see diagram) This is on a 1.2 m wingspan Mustang. Before I start cutting to fix this mess, I was wondering what affect this would have on the plane in flight.

Thanks in advance

Busta

Not much.
Fly it first, then panic. :)
If it needs a lot of trim offset, then fix it.

Turns may be a bit squirrely and uncoordinated due to the abnormal lift/drag produced by the abnormal location, but OTW should fly safely...

Hi Sparky Paul/Jimmbbo

Thanks for the replies. As it was bugging me I brought out the scalpal and fortunately the repair was not as difficult as I feared.

Cheers
