The fourth annual EEE already is in the final planning stages, because Marcela and I will be in Europe through mid-September.
This year, we will have the same relaxed and fun format as last year, and we will again have guests from outside the Northwest and from Europe. And we will again have an on-site lunch service offering a variety of sandwiches.
More information is here: http://shredair.com/equinox/index.html

Less than 2 weeks to go. Looks like no European visitors this year; lots of other commitments and the ticket prices are putting a damper on them. Nonetheless, we'll be able to assemble entertaining and interesting air-show windows.

Dieter,

I have the F-86 flying and trimmed out well, and the Hunter should be ready as well. My plan is to bring both of them to Washougal, weather permitting.

Here's a shot of the F-86 doing what she was designed for. I've done some takeoff distance measurements and expect that I can get her off the strip at Washougal safely.

Field conditions at FPM are much the same as last year. No significant construction has been done adjacent to the flying site.

We expect to have a food concessionaire on site this year.

One week to go, and all the ducks are lining up nicely. Fall equinox (after which this event is named) has arrived, and with it the nice weather! We'll have us a beautiful indian summer fly in...

Fern Prarie Modelers has no specific policy for spread spectrum radios ... all FCC approved RC systems are usable at the flying site. 50, 53 and 72mHz systems must use the traditional frequency control system. Contact me directly if you need further clarification.

Light wind and nice weather are forecast for the duration of the event. And the boy scouts will cook for us...

Grant, we'll be there by 3PM Friday. If you're not there by then, I'll wait for you to lift the heavy PA speakers onto their stands... : )

Several Thank Yous are in order:
1. to everyone who came
2. to the high pressure system which lingered long enough to give us sunny, warm, and calm days despite the forecasts...
3. to the Boy Scout Troop #562 for serving breakfast and lunch
4. to the Fern Prairie Modelers for letting us use their field
5. to Velvet Thunder Sound for the PA system

We'll have a photo album up in due time, but meanwhile here is another shot of Bob Benjamin's Hawker Hunter.

Thanks again, everyone..!
