Hello-
I'm trying to get a general opinion on the different makes of servos. Basically, I'd like to know how does GWS servos compare to the Japanese companies' servos? I've been reading some robot magazines, and I don't seem to find GWS servos to be used that much.

I'm trying to build a small robot myself, so I'm wondering how does GWS servos compare to the other brands'? (build quality, price, accuracy, etc)

Thx!

The few I have used have held up well. Not enough time to make a long term evaluation though. In general, I think they are good.

Hi,
I own around 15 GWS 9 gram servos. Price speaking they are very economic (You can get them at around 9-10$ a piece) and give a very good value for your money. The gear and potentiometer are very good and I have never seen one die completely.
Other Chinese servos I have seen burn to a short circuit and short the whole electric system. They are relatively accurate and center well. If you need a precise servo at a good cost I would go with the Hitech 56 carbonite servo that centers great and is much more durable but at a bit more them twice the cash.
I would buy GWS servos rather then other chinese made servos like e-flight (VERY BAD SERVO)...for more torque and precision I would go with the Hitech 56 carbonite.
