Announcing: The 24th Annual CASA Memorial Open RC Sailplane Contest on 9-10 Sept 2006 at Horsefeathers Aerodrome near Warrenton, VA. (for map/GPS use 9669 Green Rd. zip 22728)
CATEGORIES/EVENTS: Unlimited (ESL Expert & Sportflyer), Unlimited RES (Limited to RUDDER, ELEVATOR & SPOILER controls) - NEW FOLKS, THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU! Bring your Gentle Lady, Paragon, bentwing balsa or plastic whatever, and try competition for a special low entry fee! ESL Novices (less than 12 contest days experience) may fly in either Sportflyer or RES categories. A CONTESTANT MAY ONLY ENTER IN ONE CATEGORY EACH DAY. Thermal Duration: Tasks, Rounds and Times to be announced at the Pilots’ Meeting. Landing Task: 25 ft, 50 point tape. If entries/freqs/workers permit, we will fly MoM by skill category groups.
AWARDS: Expert, Sportflyer , RES trophies to 3rd place & Best Novice award daily. Trophy for best two-day performance for Grand Champion, Over 60, and Jr/Sr
FREE CATERED COOKOUT SAT EVE! Courtesy of Frank Thompson, our host--a great field and food too--we love this guy! (Please advise if you are coming/how many on your entry/by e-mail for headcount)
OTHER GOODIES: Subs (advise on entry/by e-mail for headcount) and sodas available for lunch on the field both days for a nominal fee. On-Site Camping permitted. Porta-John available.
