HSS Monthly TD Contest 9/2/06. Mini F3J!

Hi Guys,
HSS will have its monthly TD contest Sunday September 2nd, starting around 9:30.
Man on Man 5:00 task.
900 flight points
100 landing points on the HSS short tape.
Each round normalized to 1000 points.
RES and Unlimited classes.

Launches will be via Zip starts. 25' of std high start tubing and 75ft of line. We will have 4 new ones and a back up. It's like a mini F3J!


HSS is in Costa Mesa, CA USA.

Tom,
Are you guys considering working times and relaunchs this time?
I would also suggest having each round score sheet on a clipboard at the flight line and return that sheet to the scoring shed after a complete round is flown. Less confusion and faster turn around. It might be nice to go 7 rounds with 2 throw aways. Just some help where none was asked for! It was fun last time. Thanks Larry

Yo Larry,
With more help and pilots all things are possible for sure. With just 2 groups everyone was either flying or timing and that left Jim alone on the PC and me calling rounds, a bit short on labor but as the contest grows I am sure everyone will know their roll and pitch in. I would like to get re-launches in too, it would then have all the strategy of F3J in 1/2 the time. Sort of fast Food F3J for us fat Americans :D

You left off Blind and Bald too! It's just like you to pick on Sneed like that!!!
What ever I can do to help, please let me know I wasn't picking at your contest just wanted to see it reach it's full potential. I still kind of like the idea of one stake and 4 histarts but that is just because I am getting in to my new camera, and want to make the most of any photo opportunity :-) I like the idea of the extra histart maybe I can hook two of them together to launch a standard airplane. Now lets see if I can remember when I was supposed to go to Harbor. LJ
