I inherited this kit from my uncle several years ago and have never had time to build (finish) it. I have included a description from the Dumas web site but my guess is that everyone here knows what it is.

The kit is complete and includes the Running Hardware Kit.

$90.00 Shipped to ConUS

Here is their web site description of the "Dauntless"

"We at Dumas are pleased to be able to take you back to an era of elegance. In 1946 Sparkman and Stevens designed a 66 ft. commuter boat for the express purpose of carrying commuters down the Hudson River into New York. What a glorious way to beat the traffic. These commuters were used by their owners as everyday transportation to and from work, and for pleasure trips to their favorite spots. The most famous of these commuters was the Dauntless. The Dauntless was owned by a prominent New York family. They undoubtedly considered the Dauntless a great diversion from their day to day business dealings. The days of the Dauntless are gone but you can bring them back. The Dauntless features top quality construction materials. The kit is made almost entirely of 1/8 in. mahogany plywood. All parts are cleanly die-cut, and we have included a variety of detail parts including 38 cast metal fittings. The size of the Dauntless leaves the door wide open for different powering methods. The obvious choices would be scale electric power, high speed electric power, or twin gas power, but you may have your own ideas. Use running hardware kit #2332 for all twin screw, twin power methods in the Dauntless.

Length 49-1/2 inches Beam 14 inches Scale 3/4 in. = 1 ft.
Power 2 Dumas #2004 6 volt motors or #2005 12 volt motors, 2 High Speed electric motors, 2 3.5cc or larger gas marine engines
Running Hardware #2332 for all twin screw powering methods"

wow nice boat, minus the damage still nice!

Thanks for the compliment. it is a nice boat. wish I had the time/space to finish it. Not aware of damage...to my knowledge it is as my uncle left it...mid build. please point out damaged area as again, I was not aware it was damaged but I admit that I am uneducated as to R/C boats. Also, is damage fixable and is $90.00 a fare price for the kit as is?

Thanks in advance

No damage on the boat. The front needs to be trimmed and then the blocks glued in and fitted

I agree...theres no damage there, just the unfinished Bow section. The person who said that obviously has not built one of these models. I have one about 80% finished.

Thanks for the kind words. It is a nice kit. I hoped that suspending the hull from my garage rafters would keep it from harm. Again, wish I had time to finish it, but I dont see that happening in the forseeable future.

Hi

I am looking for a winter project. Would you ship it to Toronto? USPS is best when shipping to Canada.

Thanks
