I need a schematic or a place to look for an application using a speed 400 brush type motor with a current sensor. This is not for a airplane motor.

It has to be analog. Voltage will be about 3 V. and I about 1 amp or less. The motor will spin freely until a paddle hits an obstacle and stalls. The current sensor circuit will then shut it down until it is reset.

Any help appreciated.

Look at this device:

Eagle Tree uses a larger version in their micro logger.
It could feed an op amp comparator with a large hysteresis
to do the set/reset function, or a microcontroller.

You know, in an application like this, I might be tempted to use a coil and a reed switch..

A .01 ohm resistor and a comparator would do the trick.

Or a .01 ohm resistor and an op amp if you really want an analog solution.
