Humminbird makes a wrist watch fish finder with a trans ducer that wirelessly transmits the screen a watch. 70 bucks at Walmart online. anyway-how cool to have a boat either towing the transducer or built into the hull which then transmit an image of the ground you're covering?
I may buy one for a future project-right now working on too much other stuff.

Wonder what the range is for that 'wireless' system?

And if it's a really big fish, do you just see scales on the wristwatch?

Sounds like a cool gizmo! But yes, the range of the wireless Tx is probably very short.

There were several proposals a couple years ago from the combat guys that wanted to use it to hunt model submarines. The transducer was a kind of bobber, and the read out was a full size screen and nowhere near the size of a wrist watch back then.

Great Idea!! I may just have to do something like this when on my boat fishing. You can cover twice the ground, looking for those lobster holes.

I have had several of these back in the spring. If they worked at all thay didn't work for long. Range was 100ft. If you went too fast the screen would blank out. If you stopped the screen blanked out. Returned them all, one after another. Kept trying them hoping I would get a good one.
Sigh...too bad...great idea, poor execution. Save your money.
