Looking at the incredible quality / finish of some of the composite models I can not stop wondering: "How do they manage to produce this stuff?". I guess it takes loads of experience and practice but are there any good books to get about work with composites / fiber glass / molding to read.

I started to look around and there seem to be quite a few books related to automotive and marine applications. Does anyone have a good book to recommend?

Do you know a good internet sources to check?

I have seend the brief info on the Team Arianes web site and it just made me to know more!

R&G in Germany have all the materials you will need - and also quite a few books on the subject (in German).
R&G website (http://www.r-g.de)
Go to 'Bestellen' 'E-shop' 'Bücher'.
I am not familiar with their books, maybe somebody else can make a recommendation?

I've been making plugs and molds for about 10 years, and have posted a lot of info and tutorials on my (non-commercial) web site, at http://www.nextcraft.com
Paul Reese and I are working on a 1/6th scale King Air B200, which will be entirely molded, (the whole airframe) and include all the scale details such as panel lines, rivets, etc..

I also recommend Harry Higley's book (Available from Tower) "Master Modeling", which gives some good information on making both plugs and molds. (but not vacuum bagging)

Another good (free) source is the wealth of downloadable information at http://www.fibreglast.com , http://www.acp-composites.com/ , and http://www.cstsales.com/articles_for_model_builders.htm

Warning...It's addictive!
