Couple of questions that maybe someone can answer (related to this thread: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=551433)

1: Has anyone found the RSSI output (Received Signal Strength Indicator) within a Hitec electron-6 receiver?

2: Does anyone know whether the Futaba 9c-style RF Modules are happy running on 3s LiPo?.
It looks like they are run directly from the Tx battery, which is usually 9.6v, but with LiPo Tx packs available now I assume that there is no regulation, and therefore they run from 11.1v?

1. Why not just open up the Electron 6, see what receiver chip it uses (TA31136?) and get the datasheet for pin number? Try:

www.datasheetcatalog.com

2. No idea, but virtually any electronics built for over 9v operation has virtually the same components as one that would be built for 12 volts. Don't quote me on that for warranty purposes, but I've been running my Optic 6 with a cheap 20 dollar 3s 1320 mah lipo for the last couple of months. Many of the guys at our flying field are using 3s lipos with Eclipse 7's and Optic 6s. They use tired old flight batteries.

The key is your statement that the module runs directly off the battery, of course.
