I'm thinking of buying a T-maxx or E-maxx and was wondering what the difference is between the T-maxx and the E-maxx, other than the obvious fact that E is electric. Is the T-maxx a lot faster or is it just more expensive because of the gas engine?
I posted a poll under the Off-Road forums if you just want to vote on which is better

E is cleaner more reliable and won't go through tranny gears. Plug in and go. T is a slimmer, nice having horse power, but have fun changing tranny gears more than you'd like to. Along with a number of other parts.
I've seen so many guys at the track with their T's and all the mods and aftermarket parts. Always working on them.
You want something with some balls, get a 1/8 scale off road car. Kyosho, Mugen, or Tunder Tiger. Sure it's a bit more money. But by the time add up all the aftermarket parts your gonna get for a T-Maxx. You could of had a nice 1/8 scale.
You might see cheaper 1/8 scale cars, but you get what you pay for. I have a Mugen MBX 4RR and the only thing I changed was the clutch shoes. Also have 2 RC10GT with a .15 in it Cheaper and alot more driving time then wrenching compared to a T-Maxx.
Sure the T-Maxx looks COOL, but do you want to drive or be the pitcrew.
Well, thats what I think. Good luck on your decision, Glenn

I've decided on the E-maxx. I went to www.maxxtraxx.com and the chat rooms were extremely helpful in showing me the differences. for example:
T-Maxx:
-Has higher topend speed: around 33 mph
-requires a lot more maintenance
-has a lot more engine upgrade options
-don't have to charge batteries
E-Maxx:
-has better acceleration and more torque
-less maintenance
-top speed around 25 mph.
-cheaper
there's probably some more that i forgot to mention, but thats mostly my understanding of the situation, hence my decision. i dont like maintenance.
