Well guys, the Atlantic had its first major accident. It wasn't even a maritime accident, either. The 33 inch vessel was sitting on its stand when one of my cats decided it was time to run across the stand I keep it on. As she ran across the boat, she knocked it off of the stand straight on the floor. I left all the peices as they were and moved the whole mess into another room for photos. Now it is time to repair her.

OUCH!!! that almost would make me want to call the local chinese food resturant and see if they need any fresh stir fry meat. (sry I couldnt resist). I love cats... really I do... now where is that BBQ sauce... (again I could not resist)
Sry to see your tug looking like that I hope it does not take long to get her looking good again. I am looking into getting this tug as well how does it perform? anything that would make it better (other than not letting the cat play with it)?

Not too bad, really. That is pretty much how my "Scratch & Dent" version I got from Tower looked when I opened the box! :p

Massey, the tug runs very nicely when not beaten up by cats and thrown off a 3 foot ledge onto my concrete floor :P
The boat was able to pull my 12 fishing boat with me in it, no problem for awhile. After pulling it for awhile I noticed the motor was starting to smoke up a bit (Oops). That does give you an idea of how powerful that 550 motor is. The hull is also very strong. I accidentally slammed into the dock at the lake at full force and it just bounced off it like a rubber ball. It holds up nice for a $250 boat.

You need to equip the tug with an automated fire monitor. When it detects a feline intruder it lets the feline menace have it with a full shower...
I do that to my cats when they are being bad. We have squirt bottles all over the house to let them know they are being bad. All we have to do is pick up a bottle and "ZING!" they run away like the road-runner... <Meep!><Meep!>

may not look as bad as you think, check the hull for cracks, and as the body looks to have come apart at the sub assembly joins, damage will look worse than she really is
