I'm afraid we're not likely to be much help though you could perhaps help us. It sounds like you're already well in advance of most of us. Personally I'm a farily recent retread into the hobby in general and C/L specifically. I'm still playing with a couple of small trainers. Nowhere near doing any sort of pattern though I never was any good at stunt. I could just about manage combat but I can't see any chance of those power to weight ratios with electrics until the technology improves some more.
I haven't heard much of anyone doing any serious electric stunt flying since the articles in Stunt News, must be a couple of years ago now. When they stopped everyone seemed to lose interest. Having said that though there have been some relatively recent improvements in motor and battery technology so it should be possible to get a better flying plane. After all a couple of years ago R/C fun fly models looked impossible but they're hovering and 3Ding (I'm sure that's not a real word) all over the place now.
