:) :) "Flies like a Cub" :) :) Ok, just a little more detail then :D . Perfect weather yesterday at our clubs E-FunFly and to top it off I got to maiden my Cub. First take off into a slight crosswind was very easy to control and she lifted off nicely and climbed out at just over half throttle. A few clicks of trim here and there and she was cruising nice and level hands off :) . Loops from level flight required about 3/4 throttle. Rolls required a fair amount of rudder and elevator to not get sloppy. Inverted flight, while requiring a fair amount of down elevator, was no problem. The one thing I'll have to get used to is the momentum that these larger electrics carry. I did a snap roll and it carried right inot a 1 turn spin that caught me a little off guard :o . Also on the approach it requires some practice to get the descent at the right rate to end up at a good approach speed. Of course, rudder is required in all your turns if you want them pretty ;) . All in all I couldn't be more happy whith the flight characteristics of this Cub. The only slight downer is the hardness of the tires and undercarriage. You really have to grease her in to keep from bouncing on the asphalt. But then again, I guess you have to have some sort of challenge, huh.
