 Hi I just bought a Sig Riser 100 already built and no plans. I need to know what Sig flyers are using for CG.

If its built as plans, 1/8 inch in back of the front spar. But that took a while to get it that far back. Try in the middle of the front spar and it should be comfortable. With straight wings and about 1/8 inch washout you can almost set your radio on the ground to launch!!! Not really recomended.

Hey Dan, I have a NIB kit, and if you'd like, I can make you a copy of the plans. Should run about 20 bucks plus shipping. PM me if interested.
Bob, have you started on that Apogee yet?
Cheers!

Dan, according to an article I read a while back (sorry, can't remember where) a couple of the top flyers said 38% back from the LE is the magic spot for the E205. As I recall the article even further emphasized that it's not 37% or 39%. Best CG is still a personal thing but from a performance standpoint this is supposed to be the best compromise. When you get the plans from Rick check the rear CG limit, it would be interesting to see where Mike Pratt put it.

Bill,
Is that a Schweizer 2-32 ? Back in 1970, I had my first flight in any aircraft, in a 2-32 at Kutztown airport in Pennsylvania. It was an incredible soaring day with about 1500 fpm lift.

The Riser 100 CG is between 33/4 ins and 37/8 ins from the leading edge. I just measured this from my plan. Enjoy, you have a dandy flying plane. Sunday, I had a flight of 17mins31secs and then 17mins12secs. Not much for most, but the longest for me so far.

Good eye John, last spring I put in my best flight ever in this old, beat up, all-metal tank. Made it up to 10,000 feet, took some pictures then came back and did a bunch of spins, flew over a lake etc., 1 hour and 15 minutes. Had a great flight! sounds like you had fun with yours too.
Dan, have fun with the Riser 100. I flew one a couple years ago and had such a good time I may have to build another.
