I want to get a vario--one with good thermal detecting and pack voltage alarm. I'm looking at the picolario,sky melody (there are posts regarding those). But i have also recently seen an eagle tree seagull version for sailplanes--does it detect thermals as well?--anybody extensive experience outthere? The seagull would be neat because it is very expandable, but i am suspicious about its thermal detection and need help!!

Unfortunately, "reviews" on the eagle tree sound more like adds. I am wondering if the eagle tree derives its thermal information differently from the other two--it claims to detect TEK electronically....
